Discovering the Queen Street Mall in the Brisbane CBD is a must for shoppers in Brisbane. You’ll be astounded by the number of arcades leading off the mall.
Maximise your shopping time and avoid the tourist traps with a stylist to guide you.

James Street and the valley
James Street is a favourite for trendy locals and visitors alike. It’s where you’ll find designer styles and independent fashion boutiques framed with subtropical greenery.
Definitely put James Street on your list of places to go if you’re after something uniquely Australian and upmarket.
You’ll also find some great independent stores in ‘The Valley’; it’s more than just a hub for the city’s nightlife. The laneways are well worth exploring.
Where will they meet you? The Calile Hotel of course! It’s a glamorous hotel on James Street - a bit of a must-see oasis.

There are three Westfield shopping centres in Brisbane
Westfield Chermside
Chermside is in Brisbane's north. It underwent a major refubishment in 2017 and is now Australia's second largest shopping centre in terms of the number of stores. It has fantastic labels and it is possible to shop here and avoid fast fashion stores. Westfields are great if you’re bringing the kids, and there’s always a variety of food.
Westfield Carindale
In East Brisbane, Westfield Carindale is home to many of Australia’s most well-known retailers as well as a host of premium fashion brands.
Westfield Garden City
South of Brisbane, Westfield Garden City hosts a great range of premium and Australian labels. It's rare to be able to go to a huge shopping centre and experience an outdoor restaurant area - it’s a highlight of the centre and perfect for beautiful Queensland weather.
Oxford St, Bulimba
This quaint suburb offers some lovely high-end fashion and jewellery, independent boutiques, bohemian fashion, gift shops and more. Visiting Bulimba is about having a whole experience, rather than just the shopping. Make a day of it by shopping at a cafe or bar, or a beauty treatment.
